Dear Mom, I was writing to you because I wanted to try and let you know how responsible I am about duties.I wanted you to know that I really want a dog. I want to show you that I can be responsible, dogs are just fun, and we are more likely to not get robbed with a dog in the house. I really want a dog.
Some of the things why I want a dog is because I can let you see that you can trust me with great responsibility. I will take care of him, I will potty train him, I will take him a bath now and then, and I will love him very much. It will also be really fun playing with him, seeing him, and just having him. He would play with Sara and me. He would also be very caring and adorable. I also want a dog because people say that it is more likely to not be robbed if you have a guarding dog. There is a 65% of not being robbed or being attacked if you have a dog. That could come in handy!
You may be asking your self if I am a good candidate for the job, well let me tell you. You may think that I’m not really responsible for a job like this, but guess what, I am. I would take him out to the park and let him do his business, I would clean after him, and I would try to train him. I would also see if I could offer good training classes for him. You may also have in mind if he will be a good friend to Sara, well we could get him at a small age and care for him. Sara would be pleased to have a small friend to play with. I would also appreciate it. It would be as if he were our little brother. You would also want to know if I would clean him. I would because he would be my dog. I would clean him when he smelled or got dirty. Sara and I would take turns cleaning him. It would also be really fun because he would be treated as if he were a baby! You would also like him because you like dogs! That’s a good thing. I think that with this letter you will really like the idea of having a dog. I told you that I would really responsible, take good care of him, and just have fun with him. He would be a really great idea for the house. I really want a dog, so if I convinced you please get me one! I love you! Love, Silva, Stephanie Silva, Stephanie February 26, 200 Period: 4/5 ELEVEN
The story “Eleven” was written by Sandra Cisneros. This story is about a girl that has to wear an ugly, smelly, and dumb sweater. The teacher made her wear the sweater. When the teacher told her that, she started to whine. Then she was very unhappy because they made her put on the sweater on her desk and her birthday was ruined. I think that she is credible because acts like any other kid if they made him or her wear the sweater.
One reason that I say she is credible is because she was disgusted when the teacher put the sweater on her desk. I would currently be disgusted if they put a sweater that wasn’t even mine on my desk. “I move the red sweater to the corner of my desk with my ruler.” I would of done the same thing as Rachel did.
Another reason she is credible is that she gets upset because they made her wear the nasty sweater. I would feel upset also if they made me wear the sweater. “You put that sweater on right now and no more nonsense.” I wouldn’t like to be made put a sweater! I would certainly feel sad and upset like Rachel felt.
The last reason that I would say she is credible is because she gets really mad at Mrs. Price. I would not get mad, but I would want to scream and say it wasn’t mine! “…She remembers the red sweater is hers!” I would be really angry with the teacher if she didn’t apologized to me when another person claimed the sweater! I would react the same way Rachel did.
These are all the reasons I think that Rachel is credible. She was angry, disgusted, and upset. Any child would react the same way she did if they made them wear a dumb sweater. that is why I think that she is a credible character.
